When The Gap first opened in 1969, it sold blue jeans and records. 42 years later, it still sells blue jeans - and purple jeans, and red jeans, and sometimes even sparkly black jeans. As for the records - eh, not so much.
But just because Gap isn't charging for music doesn't mean it still doesn't have some for its fans. This month, they've put fifteen tracks on their Facebook page for anyone / everyone to download. There's no catch, there's no mailing list, and there's no commercial starring Anja Rubik or Sienna Miller. (Although to be honest, we kind of love those.) Instead, it's just 45 minutes of music that we'd happily play in our bedrooms:
"Beach" by Boy and Bear
"Never Let You Down" by Carolina Liar
"Loving" by Jackson Guthy
"Runner" by The Boxer Rebellion
"Speak Like a Child" by Tony Brucco
"Clear Mind" by Liam Gerner
"Winter Trees" by Tallahassee
"Rise" by Josh Bray
"Current Affair" by Risers
"You Play the Girl" by Arcadian Kicks
"Only One" by Rival Sons
"Hypno Switch" by The Black Rabbits
"California Sunshine" by Whitley Heights
Click here to download all the songs, and if you're going directly from Facebook, press the tab that says "Joy it Up." Which sounds kind of funny, but hey, the music is great...
