HERMES
09 10 07 - 10:33 The inspirations for Jean Gaultier's spring collection for Hermes? Safaris, India, England and explorers of the early 1900s. Gaultier began his show with muted white, cream, beige and grey belted dresses, riding boots and jackets, vests and shorts; constantly mixing and combining for heavily layered looks with bolts of colors to be found in the accessories (hot pink croc riding boots and orange bracelets) as well as turbans on the models. The layering carried through to the end of the show that finished with brightly colored sari inspired dresses that contrasted beautifully with the shows beginning looks.- ANDREA MAZANDI (Photos by AYA)
