At today’s NYLON casting call, we met Liza Golden, 18.
Liza comes from New Jersey, and belongs to One Model Management.
She’s part of a growing influx of American models – something really exciting after years and years of Russians dominating the catwalks (though we love Russians, too!).
Liza has a cool tattoo on her wrist, but she says, “My mom would have killed me if I’d gotten it done before I turned eighteen.”
She just graduated high school, so she’s finally making the jump to New York City, to give modeling her best shot.
Do you think we should put her in a NYLON spread? Let us know!

I think she should be featured in a spread. She has gorgeous dark hair and an exotic look that could be expressed in various styles of fashion instead of just having one look.

She looks amazing, and actually BEAUTIFUL!! But still cool and different. I looked for her on the One website but she isn’t there yet! Want to see more!

I don’t think so. She looks like any other model. She doesn’t stand out to me. Her features also are not proportionate and doesn’t have that adorable baby-doll look that designers are looking for nowadays. And if you’re going for the american models, she doesn’t look american whatsoever. More like another Latin American model that we see so many of. If you want an american model, go with someone who doesn’t look as international, if that makes any sense.
I don’t like her. I’ve seen her face already. Nothing special.

I think so, she totally does not look like every other model. She is SO exotic, her features are beautiful…Nowadays in NY it’s all baby doll girls you are right, and she isn’t like that which makes her NOT like every other model…She should be in the beauty part of the magazine she is absolutely stunning just so amazingly glamorous ONE really won by taking her in…Hope to see her soon!!!!

What does “american” look like exactly? Blond hair and blue eyes? That would be american with Northern European decent maybe. Overweight? Sounds pretty narrow minded to me. She is american, I don’t think she has any Latin American or Spanish, I says on another site that she is Irish and Italian.
She is beautiful and different, not ANOTHER blond babydoll.
