Well hello there Nylon dolls,

Summer is officially “on” in LA and I don’t know if it’s because of the heat storm we are braving or if it’s just that time of the year that we all just go for it. Maybe it was because the NYLON tour was headed our way for their final bow at the Wiltern.

It all started with a text I got late Thursday evening saying that our friend was having a “cowboys and Indian” themed party the next night. So on Friday night my SGF (super good friend) “Alexi” picked me up and we decided we would pack some indian garb in our bags for the party, but head to Teddy’s (the club) first. Tennesse Thomas (The Like) and Zooey Deschanel were Djn’g and we wanted to get our dance on. WE DID. It was one of those nights when you start dancing the second you step in to a place and you just know it’s going to be worth the mascara and in our case (head dresses?). We headed straight to the back to cheer the DJ’s on.

COWBOYS & INDIAN MAIDENS.* Good thing I made a feather barrette a month ago from a vintage halter top from the 70s. It really came in handy and I loved it so much that I decided to adopt it for my summer look. I even made one last minute for Alexi. I love a themed party where we all manage to get away with accessory inspired pieces and it actually works. I had such a great time on Friday night and it was only the beginning of the weekend. The next night was the NYLON tour and I had to get home so that I could rest up and do it all over again.
