Turn up Passion Pit!

Meet my bud Michael Angelakos, the brain behind (and underneath his curly coif) the ear-happy solo project-turned-band Passion Pit!!!! Happy to see what a success he has become, and will continue to be, since our days from Boston-based Emerson College. I’ve since finished school and haven’t seen any performances, but Michael and his three bandmates have already opened for Girl Talk, Death Cab, and These New Puritans back in the New England area.

Now signed to Frenchkiss Records — home to some of indie’s finest including The Dodos, Les Savy Fav, Detachment Kit, and others — Michael has migrated and nestled somewhere in the bowels of Brooklyn, diligently recording away his September EP release “Chunk of Change”. And if you’re in NYC, check out Passion Pit’s residency at Cake Shop later next month!!!! Click over to myspace.com/passionpitjams for deets, jams, etc. and I’ll see you there if you’re down for a dance-off. Laterrr ~Jinnie xx

fyi residency is at pianos and not cake shop.
michael is in brooklyn working on their debut full length out in early 2009. The EP was recording awhile ago and we are rereleasing it.

We love Nylon and We love Jinnie for writing about Michael and the Pit but not Michael Pitt ha!

    Love,
