Diane’s Batteries Are Not Included
I never thought my wildest dreams would come true.
In fact, these dreams are transforming into nightmarish realism that human beings won’t be able to keep up with mechanical powers that be.
I’m talking about robots.
Yes.
Robots.
Seattle’s Sci Fi Museum is hosting an exhibition of collectible toy robots courtesy of designer Tom Geismar, whose decades-worth bounty of CP30s and R2D2s and their cousins will be on display until October. Since May, the curious and the geeky have trekked a long way to check out what to me will be the colorful inspiration behind next year’s winter ready-to-wear collections. As a former Transformers junkie (yes I’m admitting this on the web), this kind of thing tickles my fancy.
I will be escorting my “curious and geeky” boyfriend to this next week and we’ll probably be caught up in analyzing each display.
