Getting trashed is looking pretty
Hey dudes!! Looks like city garbage is getting a slight makeover. A friend just sent me a link to TRASH: anycoloryoulike, an art project movement that replaces ordinary black trash bags with those of colorful 100% biodegradable polka dot bags on the sidewalks of New York. It’s an attempt to bring awareness to consumption, waste, the environment, and art.
Store owners can purchase these at $10 a bag (expensive, yes, for garbage) but think how much good might come of the city if all waste bags were replaced with these less harsh, cuter biodegradable ones. It’s definitely a creative step in the right direction. JINNIE xx

Why would anyone pay 10 bucks for a garbage bag thats going to be thrown away anyways. That just seems like your throwing 10 bucks away. I dont know thats just my opinoin though. the coool thing is that the trash bags are biogradable. It is preety cool that theyre trying to promote art, but come on why now? couldnt soemone have thought of this like a really really long time ago? it just seems a little pointless to me. but then again if the bags were a little cheaper and had like hello kitty on them id probably be all into the damn thing. The photo was taken in beautiful New York City, it makes me think about all the traffic down there and if someone’s driving and looks at the cool trash bags they might crash. who knows though right?
