Today I went to the Nike ID Studio in Niketown, where I was shown something quite insane:
The Nike Sample Sneakers.
These are the shoes that designers use as “fit models” – people try them on in place of shoes that are still being designed, to make sure they fit.
The shoes only come in all-cream or all-gray, and you can’t buy them anywhere, ever.
I didn’t get to steal any pairs because security was too tight, but I figured you might want to see them anyway, just to know they really do exist.

We don’t mind Miley Cyrus because she seems like a very nice girl.
But we don’t watch Hannah Montana and we don’t really want to know everything about Miley, the way we might want to know everything about Mary Kate or Hayden or even Gwyneth Paltrow.
But today, someone snuck us a photo of Miley Cyrus and we thought, “Hey, she looks pretty great.”
Sunglasses are cute but not so huge they reach Richie territory.
The dress actually fits her and looks normal and pretty, and very Almost Famous.
The bag from The Sak isn’t covered with crazy logos or precious metals.
And yeah, we have a ton of friendship bracelets on right now too.
Could it be that Miley Cyrus is… um… really cute and fashionable?
Nooo.
But she should definitely tell us where she got her dress.
When the graffiti artist Krink announced he was pairing up with InCase to make a laptop sleeve, the blogs went a little crazy.
InCase wouldn’t show full-size photos.
Krink wouldn’t tell anybody what he did.
WTF?
Well somehow, I got my hands on this very cool case, and I like it very much. I also think it reminds us a lot of the YSL and Dolce “paint blotch” dresses that came out last season, though I know that’s not the point.
The case is available on July 15 to buy online, and until then, you can take comfort in knowing that nobody else has one either.
