@ The Chelsea Hotel!
Hey dudes!
My friend was visiting New York this weekend and checked in at the iconic artist residence Hotel Chelsea. You can feel chills right when you walk in the lobby.
You can really feel the lingering creativity left by some of the hotel’s past (in)famous tenants — those including Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg, Mark Twain, Stanley Kubrick, Ethan Hawke, Joni Mitchell, Patti Smith, Deedee Ramones, John Cale, and tons of other influential artists.
The list goes on forever.
At any given time, you can expect to see a few famous faces, or a film crew -
Factory Girl was shot on location at The Chelsea, as was I Shot Andy Warhol and a ton of ad campaigns and fashion shoots.
Check out some pics! xx JINNIE
The atmosphere of the Hotel Chelsea is unlike anything you’ve experienced. Artwork is everywhere! All the walls in the hallway, the staircase, letters that residents have written… it’s like living in an art gallery. There’s much to imbibe and explore on every floor. This building has so much character.
