Even New York Magazine gets inspired by NYLON kids.
Check out their excellent video on the gourmet ice cream truck parked outside our office each day-
Plus teeny cameos in the beginning from NYLON TV babes Lina and Christy (you can see them at left).
We heart NY
(The magazine and the city)!

Yesterday, Faran demonstrated the amazing power of Nippies.
Today, it’s Intern Samantha’s turn.
Samantha was kind enough to model a hot pink skull thermal from the brand Stalyon in our office.
We wondered if maybe you could put the shirt under a navy blue blazer with a mini skirt and ripped tights and it would look not just passable, but really amazing.
Then we wondered about the existence of Santa Claus and The Easter Bunny.
Then we wondered what Shia LeBeouf is doing at this very exact second.
Then we went blind, because, let’s face it, that t-shirt is really, really neon.

You never know what you’ll get sent to the NYLON office – sometimes it’s flowers, sometimes it’s sneakers, and sometimes… it’s this.
Today we got packs of Nippies, a new “invention” designed to cover your… well, you know.
We debated the merits of these fabric stickers for ten minutes over here – like, do you wear them instead of a shirt? Do you wear them instead of a bikini? Do you wear them as a secret, just to make yourself happy? Or are they more of a third-date kind of thing?
Finally, we gave up, realized the sparkly star Nippies would also look cool on a Jem and the Holograms costume, and tried them that way.
Chic, huh? Now let’s grab Kimber and go tackle The Misfits… xo faran
This weekend saw the debut of the East Coast’s very own mega music festival, All Points West. The results? Survey says…pretty awesome.
Memorable performances, spectacular views of the city skyline, and some prime people watching (a stumbling Ed Westwick, among others) made the All Points West innaugural year a worthy addition to the summer festival lineup. So how did the Class of 2008 fare?
Most Popular: The Radiohead T-shirts. You couldn’t step three feet without seeing another random festival-goer decked out in a fresh-from-the-merch-tent tee.
Class Clown: Lovefoxxx, lead singer of CSS. Decked out in a neon spandex one-piece, a cape made out of plastic flowers, and face paint, Lovefoxxx was totally insane. In a good way.
Best Smile: Duffy. A few minor technical difficulties didn’t stop Duffy from showing off her pearly whites during her APW set. Gotta love the dimples.
Most Dramatic: Mates of State. Watching Mates of State play on Friday was like being on the set of Twister–ominous clowds rolled in, the sky turned gray, the wind picked up…and yet, through it all the band kept playing. The windswept hair look certainly suited them.
Most Artistic: Radiohead. It’s hard to get a crowd of over 30,000 to shut up. But Radiohead did just that on Friday and Saturday nights, when they headlined APW. It was, in large part, because of their awesome light show, which was both simple and spectacular.
Best Dressed: Emily Haines, lead singer of Metric. Rocking a gold lame one-shouldered romper, Haines’ subtle homage to the Statue of Liberty was fitting, considering that you could spot the statue from the fest grounds.
Most Likely To Succeed: The Virgins. Was their set mind-blowing? No, but it was catchy as hell.
