Yellow, My Name Is…

After Giles Deacon based his whole Spring collection on Miss Pac Man last week, it seems like the ’80s arcade game might inspire a full-on trend.
Check out this glow in the dark brooch by artist Tatty Divine.
It was made especially for Halloween, but really, who are we kidding?
If this Pac Man thing keeps up, you can wear it at least until August ’09.

We’re starting a new blog section here called TAG! where we showcase the best graffiti around the world.
If you’ve got something to share, email me – faran@nylonmag.com – with a photo and it could end up here!
And to start off:
Demented (disabled?) Degas Ballerina.
Spotted: East Houston Street and First Avenue.
Made from: Computer paper, inks.
Signature: None.
And seriously, seriously amazing.
Stay tuned for more!
xoxo faran.

Ripped tights look good on Alexander Wang’s runway but messy in real life. A necklace made out of ripped tights, however, is pure genius.

Pssst! Couldn’t snag a pair of those limited edition Converse kicks at colette? You’re in luck; both the Parisian boutique and colette x GAP in NY will be getting a new shipment on Saturday…just saying…
Remember that nasty debate we had last month on the benefits of black lipstick, or lack thereof?
Looks like we’ve foun some proof that it can work off the runway.
Witness Sia, who we found at the House of Holland after party in London, rocking out a crusted blood shade, without committing her total look to a goth vibe.
It’s true that Sia’s dark hair and pale skin make the shade a bit easier to pull off than those of us blondes and brunettes with yellow, orange, or olive skin tones, but still: Seeing this, we can’t give up faith that black lipstick can work in the real world!

Matt & Kim opened their set at last night’s Green Label Sound-sponsored show with Europe’s “The Final Countdown” (ie Gob from Arrested Development‘s theme song). Best cover ever?!?
