Don’t Get Dead Head This Halloween
Zombie makeup on Halloween = Good.
Zombie makeup the day after Halloween = Bad.
Whether you’re going as zombie Palin, the Bride of Frankenstein, or a pack of Skittles, putting on loads of face paint and hair gel is the easy part - getting it all off is the real horror story on Halloween.
Here are my favorite take-it-all-off products. You may still find bits of glitter in your hair come Thanksgiving, but at least that fake blood will be off.
To remove face paint: get most of it off with some baby oil, then follow up around the eyes with Klorane’s cornflower eye makeup remover pads.
To get your face back to normal: spritz on Dianne Brill’s Still and Fill Snack Spray to feel refreshed and not so red-in-the-face.
To remove hair spray/hair color: start with a clarifying shampoo - if you’ve got the money, try Bumble & bumble’s Sunday shampoo. Otherwise, you can’t go wrong with Johnson & Johnson’s baby shampoo.
To get your hair back to normal: Burt’s Bees grapefruit and shea deep conditioner (one of my all-time favorite hair products) will help moisturize and revitalize super-dry hair.
