The So So Glos Want You To Watch Movies (And Vote)

The So So Glos are a Brooklyn punk band that makes even the most basic three-chord song sound political.

When their album comes out on November 4, you can hear what they think about the direction of this country; in the meantime, the quartet wanted to make sure that NYLON readers not only get to the polls on Tuesday, but that they get political.

Here’s their list for the top four ways to make a difference on November 4 and beyond:

1. Listen to a lot of Dylan. I mean, this goes without saying.

2. Watch The Dark Knight. At least twice. It’s a great movie that is so relevant to world affairs right now. You may not even know but…there’s a war.

3. As the economy suffers and the times seem grim just remember this: the best of art is always created in the worst of times. Think about it: New York 1976-1982… NO QUESTION! It just makes sense. So 20-08 is here. What you gonna do for me? On November 4th, vote first and as soon as you’re done, get to the shop and pick up our latest jump off: TOURISM / TERRORISM.

4. Hate on Sarah Palin. For Real.

Love,
The So So Glos
