Can You Share Shoes with LC?
This morning, I got a pair of Koolaburra boots in the mail.
They’re short and shearling, with fringe circling their entire cuff - think Penny Lane goes to visit a reindeer farm.
The entire web department dug them - even Kelly, who hates, hates, hates UGGs - and Molly approved them from the fashion closet. Only Rajni shot them down with a quick “uhhh, no,” but she owns YSL wedges and wouldn’t be caught dead in glitter eyeliner, which is my secret staple. So I shrugged it off, knowing I’m more girl-next-door than girl-next-to-Gemma on the runway.
But then I saw this - a photo of Lauren Conrad wearing my new boots, all over Los Angeles.
And I was like, oh shit.
See, it’s one thing if your little sister has your boots. It’s one thing if the fashion news director of the coolest magazine you’ve ever worked at doesn’t want your boots.
But LC? In the same boots as me?
I don’t know…
But I bet you’re gonna tell me.

ps - oh god, Miley has them too…

Hey Faran,
I miss reading your blogs on Fashionista! But anyway, those boots are really cute but once Miley owns a pair, they need to go down the drain. Teen queens, (even though i’m 15 myself) do not help the image of said boot, especially considering miley’s country “aura”. : )

those 2 girls from high school musical have them too….
but, you know, sometimes high schoolers know how to pick funky, comfy clothes that look way better on people with better style, so I think you can definitely rock it your way.
