Barbie had a pink Corvette and a ’57 Chevy.

Scoobie Doo had a Mystery Machine, otherwise known as a pot-fumed bus.

And the Care Bears had Cloudmobiles.

But Jem? She got nothing. I used to pretend she rode the “subway” – my brother’s toy trains – when I played with her on my bedroom floor.

Then this weekend, I was walking down Avenue A in the East Village, and I saw this car parked in front of Tompkins Square Park.

And I thought, OMG, it’s Jem’s car!

Sadly, the Misfits were nowhere to be found, but I did spot a MisShape (Geordon) coming out of 7A after brunch. Sort of the same thing… xo faran
