NYLON’s resident art babe, Nicole, just got back from Tokyo with a wicked new hairstyle.
“It was done at the Camera salon in the Harajuku district,” she explains, “And the concept was two blonde bobs, one on top of the other.”
First, Nicole’s hair was bleached white and bluntly layered on the top.
Next, the tips were hand-painted in a rich purple dye.
Then the hair was coated with a gloss to seal in color and also create shine.
The entire process took between sixty and ninety minutes.
We’re obsessed.

You should get the purple dyes really rich though. Somthing like this…

You could even do a Prada 2007 and dip dye it so there was a white graduation to deep purple. That would rock actually!

I’ve been seriously considering the same thing only with dark brown and bright-as-heck red instead of white and purple! I sort of love it and think I may do it tomorrow, cut and all!
