Eat Chocolate, Get Great Skin
People like chocolate in a lot of things, but beauty products aren’t usually one of them.
The first time I learned this was when, while interning at a fashion mag years ago, I brought home a bag of goodies from the freebie table. The only thing that no one (not even my beauty addict sister) wanted was a chocolate scented body scrub.
So I was a bit skeptical when NYC’s Haven Spa invited me to try out their new hot cocoa manicure and pedicure. It didn’t help that the first thing I was instructed to do was dip my feet in a vat of hot chocolate…
But for the most part, there was little in the spa treatment markedly different from what usually goes down; there was filing, there was exfoliating, there was moisturizing, and there was nail painting…only, instead of nameless fragrances slathered on, it was done with cocoa scented body butters and scrubs.
There’s no question that you leave smelling like chocolate–it’s just a question of whether or not that’s something you’d actually want. Especially since it’s $60 (although the entire treatment takes about an hour and a half), which could pay for a lot of chocolate bars.
For the adventurous (or chocolate obsessed), you can book an appointment at havensoho.com.

I used to have JS Dessert body scrub in Chocolate Souffle. I liked how it made my skin feel but only used it occasionally because like you said- it makes you smell very chocolatey.
