There’s major envy in the NYLON office right now because of Kelly Bruce’s Christmas present:
Last week, our digital art director got a homemade quilt from her mother inspired by Mondrian.
She showed us pictures this morning and we were just blown away.
And now, we dare anybody on Trading Spaces or Extreme Home Makeover to do the same thing.
The quilt was inspired by a Mondrian afghan we saw on NotCot a few months ago – hopefully this one will make it up there, too!

just wow! what a creative mom
years (and years) ago when I was a child, my dad who taught industrial arts
in san diego, used the inside of our perfect craftsman ‘bungalow’ built in 1913, to express
more modern artful tastes. he painted a beautiful Mondrian inspired work for our large diningroom wall. (framed in black piece). I wish I had it now. He very much would have liked
your quilt.
