Gossip Girl Style: Vanessa Gets Her S*** Together



NYLON would like to thank Gossip Girl for finally realizing one key fact:

Just because you’re a cool, non-rich girl who lives in Brooklyn and attended (gasp) public school, that doesn’t mean you can’t dress.

For an entire season we’ve been barraged by “bohemian” Vanessa, whose odd combinations of neon, flannel, and leggings are so off the mark, they’re frankly embarrassing.

But now it seems the GG costume department has seen the light, and Vanessa gets to dress as cool as her alter-ego, the actress Jessica Szohr.

Now if only we could fix Jenny’s bangs, we’d be all set.

    I COULD NEVER AGREE MORE. the upper east side is getting to eric damans head. he has no idea how to dress someone of so-called “hipster” status. she looks great in that picture. can’t wait to see what they have coming up for V.

    and jennys bangs are so jacked. her hair looked amazing without layers and with leveled out bangs. taylor momsen is a faux-rebel.

    (sorry, venting.)

    ick i agree with you guys 100% on J’s fringe, it’s bad. and she used to be so cute! i liked her better in the first season.

    still, though, gotta love em all. so entertaining :)

    I’ve been watching GG from the beginning, and every time I’d watch it during the first season, I always wondered what the hell Vanessa was wearing.
    I agree that this season the GG costume team has picked it up with Vanessa and now her style is awesome :)
