Spotted on Broadway and 8th Street. Realize it’s probably some reference to New York – London and not our magazine, but still… yay. If you’ve seen more, email faran@nylonmag.com

I hate lip balm because it doesn’t work. Really, it just doesn’t.
But last year, I went to visit my little brother in Germany, and he introduced me to Labello, the German chap stick that is ah-mazing.
It’s just starting to leak into the US – shockingly, eBay’s a pretty good source – and I highly recommend it, especially as a base underneath lipstick, lip gloss… or somebody else’s mouth.

Jennifer Hudson is rocking some diva hair for her new music video, If This Isn’t Love. I’m not sure anyone else could pull it off (well, maybe The Supremes?).
NYLON would like to thank Gossip Girl for finally realizing one key fact:
Just because you’re a cool, non-rich girl who lives in Brooklyn and attended (gasp) public school, that doesn’t mean you can’t dress.
For an entire season we’ve been barraged by “bohemian” Vanessa, whose odd combinations of neon, flannel, and leggings are so off the mark, they’re frankly embarrassing.
But now it seems the GG costume department has seen the light, and Vanessa gets to dress as cool as her alter-ego, the actress Jessica Szohr.
Witness Jess on-set, wearing this darling plaid peacoat by Chris & Jaime. You can buy it at Barneys Co-op for $370, and yes, Brooklyn girls shop at Barneys too!
Now if only we could fix Jenny’s bangs, we’d be all set.
I never quite understood the appeal of fishing–sitting and waiting for something to pull your line, just to throw the fish you’ve caught back in the water at the end of the day.
Maybe my problem is my wardrobe. If I just wore a floral jacket and lace-up boots, like the model in Lily + Jae‘s spring ’09 lookbook, it might make a lot more sense.
But cute outfit or not, I’m still never calling fishing a sport. Sorry. xxRebecca
” Hey Faran!
My name is Nana and I’m from São Paulo, Brazil.
I was walking around the city a few weeks ago and I spotted this cute graffiti on what was, apparently, just a normal house.
It may not look like it, but it is like 5′ 5″ tall. I think it’s great because it makes me laugh every time I see it!
I know that it’s rather simple compared to what you usually get, but I hope it makes you laugh too.
I call it The Jolly Man.
love, Nana Sutra.”
Awww. If you love your graffiti, send it to faran@nylonmag.com
Forget trends on the runway–when it came to gift bag goodies during Sao Paulo Fashion Week, the clear winner this season was…measuring tape.
When I got one at the Fabia Bercsek show, I was kind of excited. It’s one of those things you always need but never actually want to spend money on.
But then I found measuring tape on my seat at Uma, Amapo, and Alexandre Herchcovitch (both women’s and men’s). Each roll is customized, featuring the main colors from the designer’s show, but still: That’s four more measuring tapes than I need.
Is this a DIY project in disguise? Or better left as a “designer souvenir” for friends?
