Just before my plane took off from Austin, Texas (at 7 am this morning! ugh!), I sent one last text message.  It was to Perez Hilton (seriously) and it said, “THANK YOU FOR THE INDIGO GIRLS.”

They were his special guests at the Dell party last night,  and when they got onstage, I screamed – just like I did when I was ten, and we’d sing them at summer camp.

Apparently, I wasn’t alone – even Little Boots and Juliette Lewis came out to support the Southern singers, and yell the words to Closer to Fine.

Also amazing:  Ladyhawke, Thunderheist (pictured at left), the Von Bondies, and eating one last fajita at 12:30 am.  More pictures below.

But believe it or not, there’s even more to the South x Southwest adventure – you’ll just have to wait until our June / July music issue hits stands to see it.
