Which says nothing and everything about the Baltimore musician.
Equally epic is his latest album, Bromst, out yesterday. Clocking in at about 70 minutes, it’s equal parts acoustic bravado, electronic whimsy, and melodic dance tunes. And if that doesn’t get you to your nearest indie record store, the album bonuses should.
Each CD and LP comes with a fold-out cardboard tent – perfect for Coachella. He’s also distributing scores for every song, so that you can sing along (and, if you can sneak in your vibraphone, play along) when he tours through your town.
It’s a big, bold undertaking – but did you expect anything less from DD? xxRebecca
