Lily Cole chose the delicate blue dress, at left, for the world premiere of her new film, The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus.
It’s Chanel Haute Couture, and very cool, but also very familiar:
The fairy-princess quality of the gown mimics Lily’s costumes in the film to a tee.
Of course, it’s happened before:
Kate Winslet’s green velvet Oscar frock in 2000 was a Titanic costume waiting to happen, and Kirsten Dunst’s Chanel ruffles of 2004 were so very Marie Antoinette.
As for this stunner, not only does it remind us of some Imaginarium photos, but it’s also quite evocative of Cinderella, circa Disney, after the little birds and mice make her into a pretending princess.
