Tag! Takeover

“Dear Faran,

I am a huge fan of NYLON for a while now, and wanted to share with you a poster campaign I recently launched in Southern California.

I am a visual artist, but have not done street art in a while, but have rekindled my love (and adrenaline) for it lately.

All the posters are bus stop advertisements that I have painted over and reinstalled.

Here is a mini manifesto on the project:

These are the first posters to hit the streets in an ongoing experimental campaign to raise cognitive awareness and more importantly to inspire benevolent action that we often forget, oversee,  or might be in opposition to our often hedonistic culture.

Let me know if you have any questions,
Cheers and hope all is well,

Sean Woolsey”

Wow!  See Sean’s whole campaign below.  If you have Street Art, send it to faran@nylonmag.com.  And if you’re the police, surely you have better things to do than arresting artists at bus stops, okay?
