True Love, Part 5
Yesterday on True Blood, we saw…
1. A close-up of the scars on Daphne’s back.
2. Jessica and Hoyt eschew phone sex for reading a comic book out loud. Awwww.
3. A flashback to human Eric that made us love him even more.
4. Godrik.
Yesterday on True Blood, we wondered…
1. Why they didn’t call this episode “Meet Your Maker.”
2. If Sam and Daphne have a kid, what animal will it turn into?
3. Who’s got Godrik really, and why?
4. Again, what the hell is up with Marianne?
Discuss.

You know, I still have my suspicions about Daphne. Her eyes turned black the episode she saw Sam jump into the water. They have been alluding to the fact that Marianne is the creature that attacked Sookie and apparently Daphne. And I’m interested to see if there is something more going on with Daphne.
Truthfully enough, I don’t think the Fellowship of the Sun has Godrik. I don’t think they’re organized enough to pull any of that off. They couldn’t even grab Sookie, I don’t think it’s them. I happen to think there’s some vampire inside sabotage going on. It’s all most likely political, a power grab, etc.
Someone, Tara, needs to open her eyes about Marianne. Nothing at all about that is normal. And you can’t realistically expect Sookie to be okay with them all living together. I can’t wait to see Sookie’s reaction to that. Although she’s been irritating me lately too…

First, with regards to the missing Godrik, I agree that there must be some vampire sabotage going on. If it were humans that kidnapped him, wouldn’t other vampires be more suspicious and know about the situation.
I also can’t figure out what is really going on with Fellowship of the Sun. And we know that Jason isn’t exactly a brainiac, but c’mon…
With all the power Marianne has over all those people at the parties, I wonder if she’ll be able to influence Sookie when she gets back from Dallas. Also, if Marianne is the creature that attacked both Sookie and Daphne, why didn’t Daphne become paralyzed like the doctor said Sookie would? Just because she is a shape shifter? And why hasn’t Sam asked her about the enormous and obvious scar on her back yet?
I’m curious to see what part Lafeyette is going to play in this whole mess now that he’s linked to Eric.

If the series follows the book– Fellowship of the Sun people are crafty and actually capable of pulling off a lot (in spite of failing with Sookie). It will be interesting if it stays on track like it has so far regarding the trip to Dallas. Barry the bellboy was in the books and I enjoyed his character.
I am glad Lafeyette is still alive (because in the book he was the one found in Andy’s car) and I’m interested to see how his character plays out now, too. I was sad for him last night though. I love him!

Maryann is some strange combination of these three.

my opinion regarding the show, is that it’s a gripping story, that keeps you wanting to see what happens next. the plot is compelling, and interesting, and holds your attention, although personally i believe the show’s depiction of vampires and vampirism is a bit off, and it’s a little bit too caught up with modern culture, including sexual acts, drugs etc. which obviously gives the show a bit more edge and keeps it entertaining, but is slightly aggravating to me. very good show though. (:

Last nights episodes opened the doors to a lot of questioning. How will Sookie find the bell boy now that he’s quit? Not to mention, how will he play in Sookie’s Dallas trip? I’m pretty sure the Fellowship of the Sun has Godrick, they are a shady ass group of people, and if the 2nd season is anything like the first, Sookie’s about go through a heap of pain to save the 2000 year old vamp. Maryanne is a maenad, she controls people’s emotions and when they’re under her power, they’re eyes turn black.. the most puzzling question is why did Daphne get attacked by her or another maenad and why is she on Sam’s jock? A little coincidental that she shows up shortly after Maryanne infiltrates Bon Temps… Hmm. All will be revealed in good time, but one things for sure. Eric is so much more “human” than he was before last nights episode, and in good time cannot be soon enough.

Honestly, all I’m really concerned about is the fact that Bill’s maker is around. And there is something strangely alluring about Marianne, but I would love to know what the deal is with the pig. And i have alot of strange empathy for Andy.
