Last season, Phillip Lim did an incredible dress, shaped like a large t-shirt but made of tiny crinoline and silk strips that created an amazing ruffle effect.
This season, J. Crew plays mass market homage.
Their layered cotton tank, at left, mimics the effect of Phillip Lim’s casual masterpiece, but allows itself to be layered underneath a biker vest or cotton blazer.
It comes in pink and also brown and navy, so even though it’s materials are summer-friendly, the shirt can also take you into Fall.
