Gladiola, Gladiator
Tweet
At left, the crazy sandals TopShop showed yesterday on their London Fashion Week runway.
They’re pink, they’re wedged, and they’re gladiators – sort of.
But instead of embracing the tough-girl aesthetic that usually comes with the shoe – especially lately, when everyone from Burberry to Balenciaga’s been studding them with metal spikes and black plastic weaves – these gladiators look sweet, soft, and almost ultra-girly, kind of like a leather friendship bracelet from summer camp morphed into a shoe.
So we’re calling them the Gladiola Gladiators. But you can call them whatever you want when they go onsale this February.

No bueno, not for me…too sweet and nice for my girls, they need to ask where the cash at, not where The Gap at…………………

I love them. Platforms are making a come back, and when made well can make your feet look small and you taller. So, even though I am already tall, I love them.
Plus, they would go well with most things I own.

wasn’t too impressed with ts unique as a whole this season (last season was AMAZING) but i did LOVE these shoes. they do remind me of friendship bracelets! i also wish they didn’t have a platform though. i love platforms as much as the next girl but at this point i think topshop is going just a little too platform-happy. sometimes flats are nice too!

Just keeping simple fashion tips like these in mind when you are out shopping will make for a better experience afterward. You will be happy you bought footwear that makes you look taller rather than shorter. Basically it draws attention to the parts of your body that you would like to highlight, not parts that you would rather leave unnoticed.

So what does a hard working really-need-a-holiday person pack when she goes on holiday? Most suitcases heading for the fun and sun will contain at least one pair of casual sandals, one pair of flip flops and one pair of evening sandals. They are a must in a hot country when closed shoes will make us feel considerably hot and uncomfortable!

Then there are the fashion sandals. These are purchased for a specific purpose. You’ve got an outfit in mind when you purchase these and you know you’re going to look fantastic!
