A Cut-Out Above



We love cut-outs here at NYLON. On tights, on dresses, on pretty much anything.

Now Jean Paul Gaultier shares our obsession.

The designer teams up with the people at Doc Martens to bring some of the sexiest Docs we have ever seen – not surprising, since Gaultier is known for strong design that pushes the boundaries of sex and culture (see: Madonna’s constant creations by JPG himself).

In black or white, these mid-calf lace up boots are accented with some unexpected diagonal incisions up the sides.

But despite their unique details and pedigree, at the end of the day, they’re still a pair of black boots – you can wear them with almost anything.

    We love the simplicity of sandals. How easy it is to put them on, wear them around, and take them off. Basically it represents a no-frills kind of shoe and we really like how they are so fuss-free and simple that way.
