Piece(s) of Cake
We’re big cupcake snobs here in the NYLON office (witness our NYLON TV video behind-the-scenes at Babycakes vegan magic shop in the Lower East Side).
So when beauty director Holly Siegel and office coordinator Theo Pugh both claimed the best cupcakes in the world came from Georgetown Cupcake in Washington DC, we had to get some.
Fortunately, the bakery just started shipping across the country, which meant we didn’t have to hop an Amtrak to get there.
After submitting a request for their popular Halloween assortment, our cupcakes arrived on Friday, in excellent condition, and – as web editor Rebecca put it – “ridiculously good.”
Kelly in the art department was a huge fan of the cream cheese frosting.
And Evelien, who books all our models, said the whole thing felt like a sugar avalanche in her tummy.
Sadly, none of our models were available for comment

I’ve been to Georgetown Cupcake, it was delicious of course but nothing beats Baked & Wired, which is not too far away from GC.
