Check out MK & A last night at the CFDA reception for new members (they’ve been inducted into the prestigious fashion organization based on their efforts with The Row and Elizabeth & James).
MK wears an embroidered jacket that looks vaguely Matador, but pairs it with a bejeweled and very girly Judith Leiber clutch. And super-dark eyes and lips.
Ashley goes a bit simpler, with less makeup but very dark eyebrows to offset her blonde hair.
And both of them kind of recall Samantha Durbin’s roundup of stylish vamps on FabSugar, where nocturnal beauty and fashion are given a very brief set of rules:
1. Layer for added mystery.
2. Some black is good, all black is for caterers and priests.
3. Undead hair always needs texture. a
4. Heavy makeup or not, your skin must shimmer magically at all times.
