ZOE-MG!

  • October 22nd, 2009

As anyone knows from watching her TV show, Rachel Zoe styles Jennifer Garner, Deborah Messing, Cameron Diaz, and Keira Knightley.

She also does work for magazines, ad campaigns, and the occasional best-friend-getting-married.

But now Rachel’s been hired by Saks Fifth Avenue to spice up their stuff -

She just styled Theory’s holiday collection exclusively for the store and their website, s5a.

Theory’s a bit of a business-y brand, but Rachel’s rocked out its edges with thigh-highs, neon accessories, and a hefty dose of heel.

See some of Rachel’s looks below, photographed by Tyler William Parker.

    I like the looks,especially the first one,but I really don’t like the model.She’s all bones…

  2. smiley Says:

The looks are cute. The model is way to thin, here legs looks like they are going to break..

the looks are pretty cute and i do believe that 1 of the (complete) outfits is suitable for corporate (business) american in the real world (that does have a fairly strict dress code: hemlines and sleeves). all in all, look #4 gets my vote if you add some nylons. bottom line- i adore rachel zoe and greatly appreciate her opinion as far as styling goes. by the way, as i was scrolling down i too was taken aback at how thin the model with red hair is… her legs! yikes! she’s probably in her early 20′s and because of how thin she is she appears to be pushing at least 34. she should cover them up if anything.

I like the outfit’s for the most part, I love Rachel Zoe. I don’t think the clothes look good on these particular model’s though. The outfits are “hip” but the model’s lookslike they’re probably not that “hip” in real life. It bugs me to see hip clothes on a model, but then you look at their hair & makeup & the hair & you see boring “normal” hairstyles.. Hope that make’s since.

  5. delilah Says:

oh my! these models look so thin, that if i poked one she’d snap!
does rachel zoe’s collection suit people with meat on their bones?

  6. Natalia Says:

I love the looks and I love Rachel Zoe. Bannanas!!!!!!!!

  7. Gigi Says:

Maybe my inner bitch is coming out more than usual, but it didn’t look like Saks to me. It looked too basic. :/
I don’t wanna be an ass, but im just saying how it is.

  8. Gigi Says:

Although i looove the socks from the first look.

  9. Lola Says:

    This model is too thin!!!

  10. juicyi Says:

i sooo love the styling. the mix match of the simple outfits looked sooo nice. looks so comfortable wearing all of it. i heart rzoe!=)

  11. Carla Says:

No Gigi you are not being bitchy because these photos look like J.Crew especially the dish washing yellow gloves.

  12. OMG Says:

These models look sickly, anemic and waaaaaaay too thin. Ridiculous. Disgusting that this is called “high fashion”! What message does this send young women?

  13. sarai Says:

I love the clothes/look!! But yeah model def too thin & she doesn’t appear 2 be having fun in them. Hope someone takes not of what we’re saying here…

  14. katie gold Says:

oh, it’s definitely saks. you must be shopping at the wrong store!

i love the models and the outfits. the second one is by far my favorite! i love the patent loubs in the last one too..they dress up the outfit nicely.

  15. YUp_YUp Says:

looks too urban outfitter to me. when i think of saks, i imagine something more refined. my favorite is the first look though. i think that look is on point.

  16. nikki Says:

i’m liking the looks, I can def. see Rachel’s amazing talent in all of them. But i do have to say these particular models don’t do the clothes or the attitude/character that goes with them, any justice. I feel these outfits are perfect for that sexy intellectual hip type with more sass. With these looks, you have to own the clothes and the look Rachel’s going for. I feel that these clothes would look that much better with some confidence and sassiness! Ill be shopping for these looks for sure though!

  17. kissmedontia Says:

U did an amazing job with the looks….i was like wwht is going on in he first two looks until I scrow down and seen ur looks..love them!!!

  18. FROCKOLOGY Says:

I think she looks great. I agree it does not look much like Saks or Rachel Zoe for that matter, but for the young working girl I think it works.

  19. amanda Says:

there were a few pieces i liked however that model needs to gain some weight i was distracted from her clothes because of how thin she was

  20. Jihan S. Says:

I would be impressed by the styling if the model wasn’t so ridiculously thin. I couldn’t even pay attention to the clothes because of the gauntly-looking model. What kind of message is Nylon and RZ sending? Great job guys…

  21. Fernando Says:

Whoa, I just love Rachel Zoe, she’s such an inspiration!

  22. Katie Says:

I like the looks, but real people don’t look like that so they won’t all translate. Can she style for a normal person? not just skeletons?

  23. DCWoman Says:

I was so disturbed by the model’s legs that I couldn’t focus on the looks–except to notice that they won’t fly in a professional setting. Fashion will never be in fashion in the usual workplace.

So stop trying to fake me out.

  24. Rebecca Says:

I’d like to add my voice to those who have already said the model looks far too thin. Maybe if enough people express their dissatisfaction, the people who put together these campaigns will start using models whose weights are at least in the triple digits. This campaign doesn’t make me want to buy the clothes. In fact, it makes me want to go out of my way to avoid buying them, lest it be interpreted as support of this series of photographs.
