Do You Still Wear Pajamas?



A few years ago, my mom found her old Pierre Cardin pajamas from the ’70s.

They were peach silk, with the traditional white piping along the seams and Cardin’s logo featured in burnout lettering throughout the fabric.

“Do you want these?” asked my mom.

“Sure,” I replied, promptly pairing the PJ top with a ripped denim miniskirt, black tights, and cowboy boots.  “Thanks, see you later!”

“I meant to wear as pajamas!” she shouted, but I was already out the door.

I guess that’s when my mom realized I’d never wear PJs to bed.  But what about the rest of you?

Today Urban Outfitters debuts a new pajama range from Betsey Johnson, which looks like the old-school kind from I Love Lucy’s apartment scenes.

They’re adorable and available online -

    I’ve actually owned Betsey Johnson pajamas before, and yes, I’d wear them to bed, though I didn’t like the button up top too much and resorted to pairing the cute bottoms with a big comfy t-shirt. :D

    I have pajamas but I usually resort to oversized t-shirts and shorts.
    I think the last time I actually wore pajamas was at a middle school sleepover.

    Yes I still wear pajamas. I just bought these comfortable poka dot ones from Target a few weeks ago and have worn them every single night… and sometimes all day if I don’t feel like going out.

    That photo at the top of your blog is a really cute pair of pajamas.

    i can’t get down with the pjs. as hard as they try, they’re just not sexy. i’d rather some lacy underwear and a tank–done.

    I love pajamas! But truly, pajamas are whatever people MAKE pajamas. If you feel comfy and cozy in bed, then you are in pajamas!

    I would probably wear these pajamas to lounge around in, but I don’t wear PJs to bed. I don’t wear anything to bed actually.

    I love PJs! They’re so underrated. I only own one pair right now but they’re ridiculous. So fun to wear on days when I’m just hanging out. Plus, I love to throw them on during family holidays such as Christmas because they’re a fun throwback to be wearing during present opening like you did as a child.

    nope. I love buying really soft shirts “i can sleep in,” though. I just wear them to work instead.
