And speaking of scary movies…
Christian Louboutin calls these new pumps “Very Jaws 140.”
The 140 stands for millimeters, and translates into 5.5 inches of stiletto height. Whoa.
So are the shoes called “Jaws” because they have little leather “teeth” on them?
Or are they called “Jaws” because wearing a 5.5 inch heel is the human equivalent of bating any guy in your path?
Or – my favorite theory – is the name eschewing the shark thing altogether, in favor of a sentiment like, “To pry these shoes out of my hands, you’ll need to use the jaws of life.”
Because that’s where I’d go with it…
