There’s a French Connection down the street from the NYLON office, which gives us plenty of time to window shop – and lately, we’ve been doing that a lot.

It’s mostly due to this gold sheath, called The Rainbow Dress, which brings to mind several things:

1. Sienna Miller’s metallic Burberry frock at the 2007 Costume Institute Ball

2. The backup singer outfits from The Supremes.

3. The Angel on top of the Christmas tree.

Which is kind of perfect, since – as Rebecca pointed out last night as we skipped into our third party of the evening – people are actually feeling the holiday spirit this season, and lots of parties have already been scheduled.

Maybe this dress needs to make an appearance at a few of them?
