Vampires may be hijacking pop culture, but on television, there’s something else taking hold:

The parallel universe.

The final season of LOST will be all about the fourth dimension.

The new series V explores what happens when aliens try to claim our world as their own.

Flash Forward is all about a future reality that may or may not exist.

And then there’s Fringe, which is basically a giant TV field trip into time and space.

The thing is, they’re all really fun shows (even V, which sucks, but is still – somehow – amazing to watch).

So the big question isn’t “which show do you like?” because we like all of them.  It’s “which show’s detectives do you want solving your mysteries?”

a)  Anna Torv and Josh Jackson (above), the wonky FBI scientists on Fringe.

b) Juliet from Lost as the doctor on LOST.

c) Juliet from Lost as the FBI agent on V.

d) Joseph Fiennes, the tortured FBI detective on Flash Forward.

Please note, we’re not asking “who do you want to sleep with?” (Uh, Pacey, duh).

    You guys missed out on two of the sexiest detectives out there!
    Jason Scwartzman in Bored to Death and Matthew Gray Gubler in Criminal Minds.
    Dr. Spencer Reid could solve my mysteries anyday.

    Can I just say what a relief to find someone who actually knows what theyre talking about on the internet. You definitely know how to bring an issue to light and make it important. More people need to read this and understand this side of the story. I cant believe youre not more popular because you definitely have the gift.
