“Like Grown-Up Smurfs…”

Even though it won’t come out until next year, CNN is hyped about Avatar.
Today’s article says it’s “the most expensive movie ever made,” which might actually be more of a blessing than it sounds:
In 1998, James Cameron’s film Titanic was (at the time) the world’s most expensive movie – and it ended up breaking even ten times over.
But that was Leo, Kate, and a sinking boat.
This is a bunch of animated jungle cats that our interns say “look like grown-up smurfs.”
Will you go see it?

My best friend wants to see it this wednesday, so i’m being lovely and going to watch it with her. It looks a little cheesy, and rather predictable, but we shall see! ox

I won’t so much as watch the bootleg copy online, I fill my bad movie quota with the Twilight Saga, the actors are cuter.

I want to see it. Hopefully the trailer isn’t cooler than the movie. I love your interns. “Grown-up smurfs” … lmao.

No I will not, it looks dumb

If I do, it will only be because Jackson Rathbone is in it.

Just the teaser got me interested in the animation, if not the plot. The avatars have been animated to move like humans, which is hugely, HUGELY difficult to do. Story-wise, Avatar doesn’t look like anything new (partly because not a lot of info has been divulged), but I might just see it for the special effects. I mean, it has to be better than the second and third Pirates of the Caribbean movies.
