Let It Snow(board)

This weekend, my friends at Burton took me snowboarding for the first time.

The trip – to Hunter Mountain, in upstate New York – was an initiative to get more girls on snowboards, and it was intense.

We got on the bus at 6 am, and two hours – and a DVD of The Devil Wears Prada – later, we climbed into boots, snowpants, helmets, and finally, onto our boards.

I’m not gonna lie, I was so scared when I strapped myself in, my boarding instructor said I was literally shaking.

But after going down the bunny hill a few times – and falling, and falling, and falling – I realized there was nothing to be afraid of, because whether I slipped, slid, tumbled, or boarded – which happened eventually! – I was going to get down the mountain somehow.

It was pretty amazing, and I’m stoked there’s another month of boarding season to go.  Click below to see more pics from the adventure.

This girl’s board says “dominant.”  Whoa.

Agatha from Burton can snowboard down a mountain without falling.  This makes her a goddess.

And that’s me, wiping out!

    Hi everyone

Another newbie here. I’ve joined on the recommendation of a friend on here. Looks like there are lots of interesting threads.
I love gardening and messing about with the camera so you should see me joining in with those for starters.

    thanks, John from Personal Loans.
