Olivia’s British Gig
Matches (a UK designer shop) recently signed the socialite and reality villain Olivia Palermo as the spokesperson for their house brand Freda. Their site features Olivia’s favorite fashion pieces, her fondness for red nail polish, and even a short film where she wears the clothes.
In her interview, she goes on to say that she’d like to move across the pond.
We think it could be a good move for a few reasons:
1. This brand is totally Palermo – she could continue to be their model, and make a career out of it.
2. In the UK, she’s a high-end clothing model and an MTV star – just like Alexa Chung! In NYC, she’s “That pretty girl from The City” and / or “That girl I sat next to at that dinner party in Chelsea last weekend.” Not quite as glam.
3. Olivia says she’d love to live in Notting Hill, which would be a natural transition from her upbringing in Greenwich, CT and her Upper East Side apartment. Plus, she wears Alice Temperley a lot, so they could be neighbors!
And then Whit can move in next door to us…
