We’re in awe of the Marc by Marc Jacobs pouf dress at left.

Every girl should have one, since they never go out of style.

Also because they’re a little bit ridiculous, which means you can pair them with neon heels, cat-eye makeup, or a beehive, and nobody will bat a false eyelash.

True, the silhouette’s really severe -

But we love the idea of something so ’50s and so totally goth at the same time (which means a pink ballet slipper or a gray Doc Marten work just fine).

Also:

We’re pretty sure Betsey Johnson made the same one, in hot pink, during our Bat Mitzvah season in junior high.
