Paging Captain Obvious: Don’t trash Old Phones

Today, CNN posted an article on “Smart Ways To Ditch Your Old Phone.”
Considering we currently have a cellphone graveyard, a.k.a. a drawer filled with smashed, water-damaged, and bedrock-esque phones, we decided to read on.
The cliff-notes: rather than tossing your phone in the garbage, use this as an opportunity to lessen your carbon footprint, possibly save a few bucks, and maybe even help out someone less fortunate. In short, recycle, sell, or donate it to charity.
Looks like we’re about to gain some major drawer space.
