If you’ve been out and about around cities like New York, L.A., or Boston, recently, you’ve probably noticed lots of prints of a bearded Joaquin Phoenix.
It’s all part of a guerrilla- marketing campaign for Casey Affleck’s latest film, I’m Still Here.
Although the artist behind the ads has been a mystery up until now, it was recently confirmed that they were the work of Shepard Fairey.
This marketing tactic kind of reminds us of the Forgetting Sarah Marshall ad campaigns a few years back, when cities all over were planted with “I hate Sarah Marshall” signs.
Still curious about I’m Still Here? Check out the trailer, and let us know what you think.

Joaquin Phoenix is no Andy Kaufman. Can he pull this off? Probably not.
