One Scoop Too Many

Up until now, we’ve considered ice cream the ultimate “kid food.”
But thanks to Silver Moon Ice Cream, aka booze-infused ice cream, this association must come to an end.
As stated on the brand’s website, “Silver Moon, is ice cream for grown-ups. We’ve taken two after dinner favorites – dessert and liqueur – and combined them to create truly unique and luscious ice creams and sorbets.”
With flavors ranging from Bourbon Vanilla Bean to Pomegranate Martini, the label’s definitely intriguing, but we wonder if we’d prefer just a bowl of Ben & Jerry’s…and maybe a cocktail on the side.
Kids Beware: Your mac n’ cheese might be spiked before you know it.

I don’t know what’s so wrong, I mean, it’s hardly a new thing, fusing alcoholic beverages with ice cream. There are lots of gourmet ice cream brands that do that. They’re also very delicious, or at least that’s one person’s opinion.

Please. I thought of this when I was 14 and I put mint liquer and thin mints into my homemade ice cream.

You’d be in more danger driving with major brain freeze if you tried to get a buzz off this ice cream, I don’t think it’s very high alcohol content if they can sell it at Whole Foods. It’s actually very good, not too sweet and really rich – I’ve tried the Orange Creamsicle and Coffee with Brownie Bits.

I’ve had liquor whipped cream but never ice cream! Sounds good. I doubt there’s much liquor in it though, just like the whipped cream.

Their boozy flavors sound amazing! Pomegranate Martini, Mojito Ice, Lavender Limoncello – I saw them featured in InStyle too. Didn’t realize they were at Whole Foods! Must be good for me, right??

Icecream with alcohol seems like a great idea. I will try it together with my Rose of Bulgaria cream! Thanks!
