The countdown to Fashion Week has officially begun, and it’s T-minus 6 days until the madness begins.

Here’s a sneak peek on what’s coming up:

VPL by Victoria Bartlett’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection is influenced by the idea of suspension, which will be seen in contrasting materials, long and lean proportions, and lots and lots of tiers.

In terms of the color scheme, the brand’s taking a cue from its own history, sticking with hues of salmon, yellow, and neutrals.

Their term for the 1930′s-inspired color pallette?

“Fake tan.”

We couldn’t think of a better name ourselves.
