It’s official: “greige” is the hottest new nail color this fall.

What, haven’t heard of it?

It’s the hue you get when you combine muted colors like gray and beige together.

Sure, this trend is unexpected, considering the last few seasons have been filled with iconic, colorful “It” polishes like Chanel’s mint-green “Jade” and Essie’s neon “Shorts” collection.

However, this fall, Chanel’s new nail line instead revolves around unexpectedly muddy, khaki shades (which we even made ourselves!).

And since Chanel has established themselves as the nail-trendsetting authority, we think that greige is here to stay.

The plus side? It’s so neutral, it goes with basically any outfit.

And, the color’s the perfect compliment to the dramatic makeup this fall.
