HBO is pulling out all the stops for its major new show, Boardwalk Empire.
Thanks to NotCot and Freshness Mag, we stumbled upon their creative ad campaign for the Prohibition-era TV saga.
They’ve planted billboards and signs at bus stops in NYC and Chicago, but these aren’t your basic ads.
Instead, they’re embedded with a special code; hold your cell phone to the sign, and you’ll see directions and a password to a special “Speakeasy” event, where your first drink is free.
But hurry, the promotion ends tonight!
