heelHigh fashion and household appliances? It might seem crazy, but London department store Selfridges manages to combine the two.

To celebrate their new Shoe Galleries (a.k.a. the biggest shoe department in the world), they’ve teamed up with the Dutch artists Lernert and Sander to create some eye-catching interpretations of iconic footwear.

Exhibit A:  Alexander McQueen’s famous 10-inch “Armadillo” shoes  (left). This time around, they used irons to recreate the look. We have to admit, we can totally see the similarities.
