emmaThanks to iPads and e-readers, physical novels are slowly becoming a thing of the past.

But that doesn’t mean we won’t be keeping a collection of our absolute favorites.

And while we treasure vintage paperbacks, a thoughtfully crafted new edition can be equally awesome.

So we’re pretty excited about illustrator Jillian Tamaki’s whimsical embroideries for Emma, The Secret Garden, and Black Beauty.

These embossed editions, produced for Penguin Threads Classics, will be out in October.

We just have one question: when can we pre-order??

    I’m obsessed with Penguin book covers. I love the Penguin classics hardback editions which are covered in cloth and have a cute allover print & when Daniel Clowes did some covers like his Frankenstein one I had a hissy fit.
