lookbook: of two minds

ewWhen we say “desert,” what springs to mind?

You probably answered cactuses, dirt and… um, more dirt.

But how about silk, chiffon, sequins and mohair?

Of Two Minds shot their Fall 2011 lookbook in the sandy expanses of LA, setting off the luxe fabrics of their collection against harsh dry backdrops.

The result is pretty magical.

And so are the clothes.

Olsen-esque gothic lace is toughened up with heavy belts and chic Parisian shapes, while  silk dresses tumble out under mini tweed jackets.

Their tagline: “Malibu meets St Germain des Près.”

Is it even possible to be in two minds about this?

In other words, we’re hooked.

    these looks are AWESOME. the photoshoot must have been brutal though… so much black. that’s all i can even think about when i look at some of these.
    whatever. the ends justify the means.
