private icon: daisy buchanan?

ggEver since Ali told us about the genius that is the book purse (and her hunt for a Lolita-inspired clutch), we’ve been motivated to do our own searching, this time for a bag inspired by another favorite classic, The Great Gatsby.

Unfortunately, we’ve yet to come across the legendary cover in bag form, but in the meantime, these Topshop earrings might just do the trick.

Not quite as literal as the exact book cover but equally as chic, the Teardrop Eye Studs are the perfect homage to the iconic image of a crying Daisy Buchanan that graces the novel’s cover.

Now if we can just find a lipstick to mimic her perfect pinky-red lips…

    i love those earings..it gives me a delusion of some object..hmm, could be a fish or an eye..either way.
