Today at the Jen Kao show, CDC nails introduced the “lethal love” manicure.

Inspired by poisonous frogs (I’m totally serious), it combines a deep base color with a bold gradation on the tips.

Although the bottom looks black, nail artist Wanda Ruiz actually used a midnight blue color called “Inkwell.”

Then she layers one of three colors – cobalt blue (at left), lipstick red, or emerald green – on top.

Just one trick:

Mix a tiny bit of the polishes together in the middle of your nail, then add blue on top and navy on the bottom -

Otherwise, it just looks like a reverse mani, which is great, but not “lethal.”

And who doesn’t want a little danger?
